Coming Soon: Call for SEADSTEM Lead Teachers in Southeast Asian Countries
June 2, 2020
A planned face-to-face workshop in Bangkok with participants from 10 countries in Southeast Asia has been postponed to 2021 in light of Covid-19. However, preparations will already start this year in the form of a virtual workshop in the fourth quarter of 2020.
From July 1 to August 31, a call for applications through the Goethe-Institut and the Southeast Asian Ministries of Education Organization (SEAMEO) invites educators in Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Lao P.D.R., Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam to join the SEADSTEM network as Lead Teachers in the respective countries.
SEADSTEM is looking for teachers who are actively engaged with STEM teaching networks in their countries and who seek to exchange approaches and experiences with peers throughout Southeast Asia. The goal is to develop and consolidate ‘best-practice’ teaching methods through a series of workshops, which will form the basis for SEADSTEM Learning Units made available on the online platform in all national languages and disseminated through future local workshops. The call and more information will be posted in the beginning of July 2020.
