The Goethe-Institut and SEAMEO STEM-ED sign MoU for SEADSTEM

The Goethe-Institut and the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Education (SEAMEO STEM-ED) have signed an MoU outlining a framework for cooperation on the Southeast Asian Digital STEM Platform (SEADSTEM). The Memorandum of Understanding is a key step in offering an important foundation to build a partnership between the two institutions in facilitating STEM in Southeast Asia going forward.
SEAMEO STEM-ED is one of SEAMEO regional centers hosted by the Government of Thailand. The role of the SEAMEO STEM-ED center is to develop and strengthen the potential of STEM education in Southeast Asia. It is a regional knowledge development and dissemination center with research on quality education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics for Thailand and member countries. The mission of SEAMEO STEM-ED is in line with the national and regional policies of promoting STEM education and to develop quality resources. It will not only set up policies to improve STEM education, but it will also be the center for information and experience sharing among the member countries and education experts. The two parties will be in close dialogue and collaborate on several measures connected to SEADSTEM over the coming months and years.
